Luxury Kimpton Hotels reveals new details about downtown San Antonio project

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants has recently revealed the name and additional details about its forthcoming project in downtown San Antonio. Named Kimpton Santo, this 347-room luxury hotel is strategically located between downtown and Southtown, at 423 S. Alamo. 

Scheduled to be completed as a 10-story property, Kimpton Santo will integrate elements of both new construction and the restoration of an 1850s-era school campus.

The name "Kimpton Santo" draws inspiration from the rich cultural heritage of San Antonio, particularly honoring the city's namesake, Saint Anthony, and the historical significance of the land upon which the hotel is situated. 

The design of the hotel will incorporate several 19th-century German-English schoolhouse buildings, which have been meticulously preserved and incorporated into the overall architectural plan.

With a commitment to offering a unique and immersive experience for guests, Kimpton Santo will feature various amenities, including a steakhouse and oyster bar, an intimate cocktail lounge, and a rooftop bar. 

Notably, the hotel's rooftop will boast the title of the city's highest luxury open-air rooftop, providing guests with breathtaking panoramic views of the skyline, including prominent landmarks such as Hemisfair Park.

General Manager Lynn Snyder expressed excitement about the project, highlighting how Kimpton Santo aims to blend innovative design, exceptional service, and prime location to create a standout destination within San Antonio. 

The hotel aspires to become an integral part of the city's landscape, offering guests an unforgettable stay characterized by top-notch amenities and unparalleled hospitality.
